10/2/2026 9:00:00 PM | Women's Volleyball
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — The Middle Tennessee volleyball team opened the weekend with a sweep of Delaware Friday night at the Alumni Memorial Gym.
MTSU (11-4, 2-1 Conference USA) now has three sweeps on the season, with Friday night being the first at home of the season for the Blue Raiders.
The win was the program's first over Delaware (7-6, 2-1).
"We came out and we executed the game plan — the girls played really tough," head coach Alexa Keckler said. "[Delaware] served really well. We talked about the serve-and-pass game and worked all week long.
"That showed tonight, we did a really great job."
Team leader in kills Sophia Henry once again led MTSU offensively, collecting 13 kills on the night. Gabrielle Clionkscale and Michaela Dlouhá followed with nine kills each.
Caroline Macander assisted 31. Defensively, Logan Carr led the Blue Raider effort with four blocks.
As it has done so often, to the tune of 13 first set wins in 2026, Middle Tennessee took the first with a 25-17 victory.
MTSU continued to keep its foot on the gas pedal in the second set, winning by a higher margin with a 25-14 victory. Clinkscale put away the set point.
The Blue Raiders continued their dominance of the match in the third set, winning 25-19 to close a sweep. Henry picked up her sixth match-winning kill of the season.
Notes
--MTSU improves to 1-2 all-time versus Delaware.
--Dlouhá achieved her 500th career block in the contest.
--Middle Tennessee matched its win total from 2025 with the victory.
--The Blue Raiders are now 4-1 at the AMG in 2026.
