MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - In just over a week, the Middle Tennessee men's basketball team will return to the court, with the 2026-27 roster including three post players in newcomer Kaleb Siler and returners Luka Jovanovic and Jarred Hall.
Hall enters his third year as a Blue Raider after featuring 12 times in 2025-26, averaging 2.3 points and 1.3 rebounds per game. The 6-9, 225-pound post is anticipated to have a major uptick in minutes following a highly productive offseason. The senior is a pure physical player and is regarded as a top athlete on the team with a jack-of-all-trades skillset at his disposal. His large frame and ability to excel on both sides of the ball will give players of any profile problems. Hall can do it all offensively, from shooting at the three-point line and rebounding to driving downhill and scoring at the rim. The Lebanon, Tenn., native is also a threat off the ball, as his large frame and athletic build allows him to stifle opposing defenses.
Serbian post Jovanovic is known as "Mr. Reliable" for the Blue Raiders and a closer look at him makes it easy to see why. In 2025-26, he saw action in 31 contests, averaged 2.2 points per game and was third on the team in blocks (16). Jovanovic led the team in rebounding in three games, while coming off of the bench first on eight occasions. The 6-11, 250-pound sophomore has elevated his game to a new level, improving his skills around the rim while consistently showcasing his athleticism to pair with his large frame. No. 3 is a reliable high performer in all areas of basketball, from constantly getting his way with his physical and technical skills to leading his teammates on the floor with his voice and basketball IQ. Jovanovic's discipline and diverse skillset poise him for a breakout year, labelling him as a player no opponent wants to match up against.
The final member of the MTSU frontcourt, Siler transfers in from Gaston College after spending time at USC Aiken and Western Carolina previously. He authored a breakout season in 2025-26, tallying 17 double-doubles while averaging 18.7 points per game and 9.9 rebounds per game for the Rhinos. The Fayetteville, N.C., native's exploits last season garnered him a nod as an NJCAA All-American, as well as Region 10 Player of the Year. Siler makes his return to Division I for his senior season, bringing with him a 6-10, 250-pound frame that is bound to give opposing defenses problems. Siler is a physical player who thrives in the paint with the basketball in his hands. Along with his size and threat below the rim, he carries an energetic personality, ready to come in fresh and make an impact.
