Ondrej Horak Named Conference USA Athlete of the Week

DALLAS, Texas — Middle Tennessee senior Ondrej Horak has received his first Conference USA Athlete of the Week honor for the season.
Horak secured a comeback victory in singles against Vanderbilt's No. 62 Martinez Gomez, winning with a score of 6–7 (4-7), 6–4, 6–2. After dropping the first set in a tiebreaker, Horak refocused and dominated, claiming the final two sets to mark his second victory over a ranked opponent this season.
On Sunday, he provided the sole point for MTSU by defeating Indiana's Jip van Assendelft, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3, in his singles match.
Horak remains unbeaten in singles play this season, holding a record of 7-0, and he is the only MTSU player without a loss in singles matches. Currently, he is ranked 115 in singles in the ITA rankings.
