Volleyball signs first ever Middle Tennessee Team IMPACT member

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee Volleyball and Head Coach Alexa Keckler are welcoming their newest member to the Blue Raiders, as MTSU signs sixteen-year-old Cheyenne in a partnership with Team IMPACT on Wednesday, March 25.
"(Team IMPACT) is a program that really matches individuals with different challenges in their lives or have gone through medical conditions that don't really allow them to be able to participate fully in a sport and connects them with college teams and gives them an opportunity to be a part of a team," stated Coach Keckler when asked about the importance of Team IMPACT and its significance. Cheyenne's mom Jennifer added, "this provides (Cheyenne) with that inclusion and team-like environment that she likes and wants that will also help her be more social, learn more social skills and just have fun."
Cheyenne officially became a Blue Raider during a signing day ceremony at Middle Tennessee State University's SRM Concrete Club. She will participate in various activities with the Blue Raiders that include games, practices, and other team events with Middle Tennessee Volleyball.
"I think that Cheyenne will be a ray of sunshine for us," said rising sophomore Gabrielle Clinkscale. "Honestly, having her there will help us stay positive and be excited to be there and see her."
