DALLAS, Texas — Birtan Duran was named the CUSA Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week, and Ondrej Horak and Antoine Mayoral won CUSA Men's Doubles Team of the Week, per the league office.

Over the weekend, Duran secured a third-set victory against Tulane's Alec Gaudin. After losing the first set without winning a game, Duran regained control in the second set, establishing an early 3-2 lead and extending it to 5-2. Gaudin managed to reduce the deficit to 5-3, but the Turkish native won the next game, sealing the set at 6-3. In the third set, Duran was dominant, allowing Gaudin to win just one game during a 6-1 finish. With this victory, MTSU led 4-1. Duran then faced TSU's James Adler Germinal, winning that match with a score of 6-3, 6-3. In a previous match against William & Mary, Duran won his first set 6-2, leading 4-0 in the second set before MTSU clinched the match.
Over the weekend, MTSU lost the doubles point. However, Horak and Mayoral secured a victory against Tulane's AJ Mercer and Lance Nisbet with a score of 6-3. Later, they also triumphed over TSU's James Adler Germinal, and Tatenda Mutetwa, winning 6-2.
