MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — No. 10 Middle Tennessee fell 4-0 to the No. 2 seed FIU on Friday at the Adams Tennis Complex.

FIU secured the doubles point with wins on courts one and two. Katerina Mandelikova and Viktorie Hazmukova defeated Sara Conde and Cara Szilasi, 6-2, before Vittoria Baccino and Jelena Vico topped Rutuja Chaphalkar and Zora Koenig, 6-3. The third doubles match went unfinished.

In singles play, FIU closed out the match with three straight-set victories. Mandelikova defeated junior Lena Peyer, 6-1, 6-1, on court one. Baccino followed with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Koenig on court two. Aleksandra Simeva clinched the match on court six, defeating senior Zenn Lim, 6-4, 6-3.

Three additional singles matches were left unfinished after the Panthers secured the decisive fourth point.
