Middle Tennessee Adds Alexandre Vassard for Fall 2026

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee men's tennis head coach Jimmy Borendame has confirmed that Alexandre Vassard has joined the Blue Raider program.
Vassard is an upcoming freshman from Roissy-en-Brie, France. He stands 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 176 pounds. He has an ITF Junior Ranking of 301, an international and national ranking of 1656, and a UTR of 12.14. He plans to major in international business.
Head coach Jimmy Borendame on Vassard:
"Alexandre is another talented tall lefty. He has an explosive game and weapons. He is dedicated to his tennis and schoolwork. I am excited to work side by side with to develop his game further."
Vassard on his commitment to MTSU:
"I'm really excited to be joining Middle Tennessee University. I truly believe this is going to be an amazing experience, and I'm confident that the coaches will help me grow a lot both as a player and as a person. I can't wait to start this new challenge and push myself to the next level. I'm sure I will improve a lot, and I'm really looking forward to showing what I'm capable of on the field. I'm also very happy about the opportunity to reunite with my French friends at the university."
