Johnson selected as individual qualifier for NCAA Women's Golf Regionals

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee women's golf sophomore Isabella Johnson was selected as an individual qualifier to the NCAA Women's Golf Regionals, as announced by the NCAA Women's Golf Committee Wednesday afternoon. Johnson will compete in the Louisville Regional May 11-13 at the University of Louisville Golf Club in Simpsonville, Ky. The selection marks the first time that a Blue Raider will compete on the national stage since 2019, when Hanley Long was an individual qualifier for the Auburn Regional.
Individual competitors are selected based on their ranking by Scoreboard, with Johnson being ranked No. 202 as the third-highest Conference USA student-athlete. Competing with her at the regional will be teams Arkansas, Auburn, Iowa State, Ole Miss, Houston, Virginia Tech, Kansas State, Indiana, College of Charleston, Xavier, WKU and Murray State, as well as individual competitors Eila Galitsky (South Carolina), Barbara Car (Old Dominion), Maylis Lamoure (South Carolina), Maria Jose Barragan (BYU) and Sloane Biddle (Belmont).
The Murfreesboro, Tenn., native has had a phenomenal season since joining the Blue Raiders in the summer. She owns the single season record with 17 rounds at par or better and is on pace to set the single season scoring record, currently averaging 72.32 strokes per 18 holes.
