Middle Tennessee Wraps Day Two with Steeplechase Bronze

MURFRESSBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee concluded the second day of the 2026 CUSA Outdoor Track and Field Championship with a bronze medal in the men's 3000m steeplechase.
Juan Lucas De La Fuente secured third place in the men's 3000m steeplechase with a time of 10:03.80, earning the Blue Raiders a spot on the podium.
Chidinma Agu posted a time of 23.70 in the women's 200m prelims. Mustapha Bokpin finished the men's 200m prelims in 20.11, ranking second on the 2026 DI Top 100 Track & Field Performance List. In the women's 800m prelims, Privillege Chikara qualified with a time of 2:09.91. Emma Thomas and Laila Williams set personal bests at 2:14.09 and 2:22.40. Ross Evans also achieved a personal best of 1:54.06 in the men's 800m prelims.

Middle Tennessee will host the second day of the 2026 CUSA Outdoor Championship on Saturday, May 16, at Dean A. Hayes Track and Soccer Stadium. Events begin at 11 am.
