Five Blue Raiders Set for NCAA Regionals in Lexington

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Five Middle Tennessee track and field athletes will compete in the first round of the 2026 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Regionals from May 27 to May 30 in Lexington, Kentucky.
Mustapha Bokpin will compete in the 100-meter and 200-meter events at the 2026 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Regionals. At the CUSA Track & Field Championships, he achieved a personal best of 9.94 seconds in the 100 meters, meeting the Olympic qualifying standard and setting a new meet record. Forty-five minutes later, he secured gold again in the 200 meters with another personal and meet record of 20.26 seconds.
Moses Lekokei is scheduled to compete in the 10,000-meter event at the Regionals. On the first day of the CUSA Track & Field Championships, he secured first place in the 10,000 meters with a time of 29:46.33. Joel Iheakolam will compete in the Triple Jump at the Regionals. He finished third at the CUSA outdoor meet with a jump of 15.52 meters.
Chidinma Agu will compete in the 400-meter event, where at the CUSA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, she finished second with a time of 51.88 seconds, surpassing the 22-year-old school record of 52.29 seconds previously set by Rosemary Okafor in 2004.
Privillege Chikara is set to compete in the 800-meter event at the regionals. She recently secured second place in the women's 800 meters at the CUSA Track & Field Championships, recording a time of 2:05.53.
