Blue Raider Basketball to take on Kansas in non-conference slate

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – For the first time since 2000, Middle Tennessee and Kansas will go head-to-head on the hardwood. The contest will take place in Lawrence, Kan. at the legendary Allen Fieldhouse on November 6 as part of the Blue Raiders' non-conference slate.
The two teams last met in Kansas on November 27, 2000, a contest that the home team won 92-66. All time against KU, MTSU is 0-3 and is 0-2 in Lawrence.
Kansas went 24-11 a season ago, earning an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament and advancing to the Round of 32 before dropping a tightly contested battle to St. John's. The program was ranked 20th in both the AP Top 25 and Coaches Poll in the season-ending poll and sat 21st in RPI with eight Quad 1 wins.
The remaining competitions in the non-conference schedule, as well as times for the match ups, will be announced at a later date.
