MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee women's golf has signed its first newcomer for the 2026-27 roster in transfer Jayla Kucy. The rising junior will join the Blue Raiders after two seasons at Oral Roberts.
"I am so excited to be joining MTSU," said Kucy. "It felt like the right fit from the start and I can't wait to represent the Blue Raiders."
In her freshman year with the Golden Eagle, she competed in 29 rounds, earning a season-best finish of 22nd at the National Golf Invitational. Her sophomore season was where she broke out, dropping her scoring average by three strokes and improving her national ranking by 389 spots.
Kucy earned her first collegiate top three finish at the Summit League Championships, finishing third to help lead her team to place third as well. She shot five rounds at par or better in her 32 rounds, a mark that would tie her for second on last year's roster. She was named All-Tournament team for placing third at conference championships and was voted All-Summit League Honorable Mention, ranking among the league's top 10 in scoring average.
A native of Camrose, Alberta, Canada, Kucy is the first international Blue Raider for the program since the 2011-12 team, when Steph Gough, an English golfer, was a member of the team.
