MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee women's tennis team garnered 2026 International Tennis Association (ITA) Division I All-Academic Team recognition and six individual Blue Raiders were named 2026 ITA Scholar-Athletes, the organization announced Monday.
The 2026 All-Academic Team recognition marked MTSU's eighth straight year and 12th in program history on the awards list.
The six Blue Raiders to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete awards this year include seniors Rutuja Chaphalkar and Cara Szilasi, juniors Sadbaroy Kholdarova and Lena Peyer, sophomore Sara Conde, and freshman Zora Koenig. The recognition is the first of each player's career.
The 2026 ITA Division I All-Academic awards, selected by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, recognize both the top teams and individuals in the classroom, promoting education as an essential facet of the college tennis experience. In order to be selected as an ITA Scholar-Athlete, one must obtain a GPA of 3.5 or above. The requirement for an ITA All-Academic Team award demands a team GPA of 3.2 or higher.
The Blue Raiders closed the 2025-26 season campaign strong, winning two of their last three matches before falling to FIU in the Conference USA Tournament quarterfinals.
