Blue Raiders set for CUSA Football Kickoff

ARLINGTON –Middle Tennessee student-athletes Roman Gagliano and Ashton Logan will join Head Coach Derek Mason at the 2026 CUSA Football Kickoff on Monday and Tuesday in Arlington, Texas.
The event will be held at the Loews Arlington Hotel and Texas Live! following two years at the PGA of America.
The group will arrive in Arlington later today as the players will be part of a leadership session organized by the league office. Monday will see the student-athletes go through a photo shoot, a podcast and the ESPN+ Show. Fans can watch the show live on ESPN+ beginning at Noon.
After a kickoff event later in the afternoon, the players will then head to Globe Life Park to watch the Texas Rangers take on the Chicago White Sox.
The event will conclude on Tuesday morning with the players doing digital content, social media and breakout interviews. Coach Mason will hold a press conference beginning at 10:35 AM.
Gagliano, QB (6-3, 219) – Entering this third season with the Blue Raiders, Gagliano started the last three games of the 2025 season for injured Nicholas Vattiato. He ended the year with 1,005 passing yards on 78 completions and seven touchdowns while rushing for 166 yards and two scores. Earlier this summer he served as a counselor at the Manning Passing Academy.
Logan, P (6-2, 209) – Begins his fifth season of college football after joining the program last year from Oklahoma. Ended the year with 66 punts for a 44.7-yard average while placing 29 inside the 20-yard line and seeing 19 of his kicks go for 50 or more yards. His 44.7-yard average went down as the second-best at MTSU for a single-season.
The Blue Raiders will begin training camp on Aug. 5 in preparation for the season opener on Sept. 5 against Murray State. Kickoff for the opener at Floyd Stadium is set for 6 PM CT.
