8 Blue Raiders to take part in UTR PTT Nashville

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Eight members of the Middle Tennessee men's tennis team will be competing in the UTR Pro Tennis Tour Nashville, set to take place at the MTSUTennis Complex from Aug. 17-23.
Returners Antione Mayoral, Eric Crivei, Birtan Duran, and Santiago Lora, as well as newcomers Clement Moyoral, Aryan Saleh, Asier Prado, and John Popowich will all represent the Blue Raiders as they compete for a share of up to $20,000 of prize money.
Head coach Jimmy Borendame and his staff will also be present for the matches, which will begin at 2 p.m. and run through the evening.
In order to compete in the tournament, male players must have a Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) of at least 11.5 and be outside the top 200 PTT ranking.
The tournament format consists of a Monday-Friday round-robin group stage with four groups of five players each, before weekend single-elimination playoffs.
Parking and admission are free for all spectators.
