Blue Raiders Announce 2026-27 Non-Conference Slate

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Highlighted by road matchups against Southeastern Conference opponents Tennessee and Auburn, along with tournament appearances at the Jacksonville Classic and the Cherokee Invitational, the Middle Tennessee women's basketball team announced its complete 2026-27 non-conference schedule Tuesday morning.
"We intentionally built a non-conference schedule that will challenge us from day one," said Head Coach Matt Insell. "Playing quality opponents early gives our team an opportunity to grow, learn about ourselves, and establish the standard we want to play to throughout the season. Every game is a chance to get better, and that's exactly what we want from our non-conference schedule."
Middle Tennessee opens the regular season at home against Saint Louis on Nov. 2 before making the short trip west to face Memphis on Nov. 6. The Blue Raiders will then head to Knoxville for a matchup against Tennessee on Nov. 12 before returning to the Glass House to host Tennessee Tech on Nov. 16.
The Blue Raiders continue their challenging early-season slate with a trip to Auburn on Nov. 20 before traveling to Jacksonville, Florida, for the Jacksonville Classic. Middle Tennessee will face two opponents to be announced on Nov. 23 and Nov. 25.
Following the Thanksgiving tournament, the Blue Raiders return home for three consecutive games, welcoming Lipscomb on Nov. 30, Southern Indiana on Dec. 3 and Wichita State on Dec. 6.
Following the three-game homestand, Middle Tennessee travels to Nashville to take on Belmont on Dec. 13 before returning to the Glass House to host former Conference USA rival Rice on Dec. 17.
The Blue Raiders will conclude non-conference play at the Cherokee Invitational in Cherokee, North Carolina, taking on Tulsa on Dec. 20 before facing South Florida on Dec. 21.
