Brown signs professional contract with Durham FC Women

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Following two seasons in which she started all 39 possible matches for Middle Tennessee, graduate defender Emma Brown has inked a professional contract with Women's Super League 2 side Durham FC in England.
The Middlesbrough, England native became the first Blue Raider to join the professional ranks since Peyton DePriest (2017-22) signed a deal with French club St. Etienne following the conclusion of her MTSU career.
In the 2025 season, Brown led her team in minutes, helping the Blue and White to tie the conference lead for regular season clean sheets with eight. Her efforts garnered her 2025 All-Conference USA Second Team recognition, Defensive Player of the Week honors for the week of Oct. 28 and All-CUSA All-Academic Team accolades.
She helped Middle Tennessee to three clean sheets out of its last four matches, including a 1-0 victory against FIU in the first round of the CUSA Women's Soccer Championship.
In her senior season in 2024, the defender led her team in minutes, assisted two goals against Jacksonville St. on Oct. 3, and both assisted a goal and achieved her first collegiate score against Louisiana Tech on Nov. 1.
