Bourgeois named CUSA Special Teams Player of the Week

MURFREESBORO – Senior Dominic Bourgeois was voted the CUSA Special Teams Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday. Bourgeois is the first Blue Raider this year to earn a CUSA award.
Bourgeois, out of Baltimore, MD, connected on two field goals and both of his extra points on the road against Marshall. His first three-pointer in the second quarter was drilled from 52 yards out to match the fifth longest in school history and the longest made by a Blue Raider since 2010 when Alan Gendreau hit a 55 yarder. Bourgeois later added a 35-yard field goal to pull MTSU to within one point at the half.
Bourgeois is just the eighth player in school history to earn CUSA's special teams award and the first at MTSU since Oct. 21, 2024 (Omari Kelly). He is the first placekicker for the Blue Raiders to be honored since 2018.
