Phillips named Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week Honorable Mention

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Junior midfielder Hailey Phillips has been named as an honorable mention to the Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week for Sept. 15, the organization announced Tuesday.
Phillips recorded the first brace of her collegiate career when she scored her second and third goals of the 2026 campaign against Evansville on Sept. 10. The Sammamish, Wash., native also recorded career highs in shots (4) and shots on goal (3), a tally she then replicated against on Sept. 13 at Tennessee Tech.
The midfielder, who transferred from Troy, is having her best collegiate season to date, with three goals and one assist for seven points. Her first goal for the Blue and White came against Southern Indiana on Aug. 16, marking the second game winner of her career after she clinched the match for Troy against Lipscomb on Sept. 1, 2024.
The Middle Tennessee No. 5 is one of six Blue Raiders to start all 10 games of the season so far (Hannah Murphy, Megan Carroll, Mya Stenehjem, Jess Gray, Saachi Bureau) and is currently tied for second on the team for goals and points and tied for third on the team for assists.
MTSU has posted its best record in non-conference play in program history so far, currently at 7-1-2 through 10 games. They also are on a three-game winning streak, which is their first of 2026 and first since Nov. 2, 2025, when they defeated FIU (1-0) after taking down UTEP (Oct. 16, 4-0) and Kennesaw St. (Oct. 19, 1-0) consecutively.
Phillips' recognition is the first in her career.
