Countdown to Kickoff Luncheon set for Friday ahead of Nevada game

Former Blue Raider Reggie Polk will be the alumni guest
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee football fans will have an opportunity to get an inside look at Saturday's matchup with Nevada when the Blue Raiders host the Countdown to Kickoff Luncheon Friday, Sept. 18, at 11:45 a.m. in the SRM Concrete Club at Floyd Stadium.
The luncheon, held the day before every home game, will feature an in-depth look at the upcoming matchup from head coach Derek Mason and offensive coordinator Anthony Scelfo.
Mason will break down video and discuss the Blue Raiders' preparation for Nevada while also taking questions from those in attendance. Scelfo will provide additional insight into the Blue Raiders' offensive game plan and preparation for Saturday's contest.
Friday's guest alumni speaker will be Reggie Polk, a former Blue Raider and the owner of Polk and Associates Construction, a full service firm based in Nashville. Polk and Associates is currently working on the new Nissan Stadium, the future home of the Tennessee Titans in Nashville. Polk played for the Blue Raiders from 1998 to 2001 and was a member of the programs first FBS team in 1999. The former lineman and tight end was also on the 2001 Sun Belt Conference championship team.
The Countdown to Kickoff Luncheon provides Blue Raider fans with a unique opportunity to hear directly from members of the MTSU football staff while enjoying lunch and getting ready for Saturday's game at Floyd Stadium.
Admission is $10, which includes lunch. The program begins at 11:45 a.m., with the luncheon and football discussion continuing through approximately 12:45 p.m.
