Lowe, Tripp garner CUSA Player of the Week honors

MURFREESBORO – Sophomore Jackson Lowe and junior Reese Tripp earned Conference USA Player of the Week honors as announced by the league office on Monday. Lowe was named the Defensive Player of the Week while Tripp was tabbed the Offensive Lineman of the Week. It was the first honor for both players.
Lowe, a cornerback from Brentwood, Tenn., had a monster game in helping lead the Blue Raider defense in the win over Nevada on Saturday. Lowe had six total tackles to go with a sack, a TFL, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. The sack was the first one for the Blue Raiders in 2026 and resulted in a turnover that led to a short field and a touchdown for the offense. It provided MTSU its first lead of the game in the third quarter.
Tripp, out of Mantorville, Minn., is in his first year with the Blue Raiders. The 6-7, 353, tackle had the line's top PFF grade in the win over the Wolf Pack while not allowing a sack and helping pave the way for a 100-yard rusher for the second time this season.
Lowe and Tripp will now lead MTSU into conference play this weekend as the Blue Raiders travel to Jax State Saturday. Kickoff is set for 6 PM on ESPN+.
