Henry Picks Up Conference USA Weekly Honor

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Sophia Henry took home Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week honors Monday after a career weekend at Fairfield Sept. 18-19.
Henry picked up 49 kills on the weekend, including a career-high 23 versus Brown Sept. 19. Henry's 157 kills on the season are good for third in CUSA.
Henry also recorded a double-double Sept. 18 versus CCSU, putting together a 15-kill, 10-dig performance. The double-double was Henry's third of her career and first at Middle Tennessee.
Since transferring from Mercer, Henry has been an offensive revelation for the Blue Raiders, leading the team in kills and kills-per-set.
The Blue Raiders are off to a 9-3 start and begin CUSA play against Liberty Sept. 25-26.
