Women's Tennis completes Belmont/Lipscomb Hidden Duals

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee women's tennis wrapped up day three of the Belmont/Lipscomb Hidden Duals this weekend, winning five singles competitions during the weekend's action.
Maria Palacios starred in the capital, winning one match each against North Alabama and the two host teams.
Sara Conde claimed her victory on Saturday against Lipscomb, while Sadbaroy Kholdarova defeated her North Alabama opponent on the final day.
The Blue Raiders had a rough outing on Friday, falling in all four doubles contests they competed in.
Palacios partnered with Vanderbilt's Trinetra Vijayakumar, but the duo could not overcome North Alabama's Emma Ansorge and Sammie Schouten, dropping the match 7-6 (5).
UNA's senior pair of Louise Booker and Mathilde Delaney defeated Conde and Kholdarova on Friday morning, 6-3.
In the afternoon, Vijayakumar switched partners to Kholdarova, but the duo could not claim the victory, with Lipscomb's Mariia Dolzhenko and Deborah Dominguez taking the set, 7-6 (4).
LU's Serafima Bobrovnikova and Sarah Stoyanov defeated the MTSU duo of Conde and Palacios, 6-3.
On Saturday, the Blue Raiders fared better in singles play, with Palacios defeating Belmont's Mia Jones in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2.
Both Conde and Palacios displaced their afternoon Lipscomb opponents, with the former defeating Kameliia Tytarenko, 6-3, 6-4, and the latter downing Matilda Duerig, 6-1, 6-3.
Kholdarova fared worse on the day, being bested by Belmont's Savannah Webster, 7-5, 6-3, and Stoyanov, 6-0, 6-2.
Conde also dropped her morning contest to Belmont's Jessica Popiol, 6-4, 7-5.
On the final day, Kholdarova and Palacios could not find their form against Belmont's Webster and Emmi Kolyszko, losing 6-3.
Conde paired up with Duerig, but fell in the contest to Belmont's Ketevan Jeladze and Isabel Pacheco, 6-2.
In singles, Conde fell to Delaney in a straight-set affair, 6-0, 6-2.
Middle Tennessee finished the weekend on a high note, with Palacios claiming her third victory of the weekend against Booker in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2.
Finally, Kholdarova came away with a hard-fought victory over Schouten, 7-5, 3-6, 10-7.
The Blue Raiders will return to the court for the ITA Regional Championships on Oct. 8.
