Men’s Tennis unveils 2026 fall schedule

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Fresh off securing its seventh consecutive Conference USA title in the spring, Middle Tennessee Men's Tennis head coach Jimmy Borendame has announced the Blue Raiders' fall 2026 schedule.
"Our fall schedule is busy but will be a great experience,'' Borendame said. ''We're excited to host a few events at home as well."
MTSU takes the court for the first time this fall in Murfreesboro, hosting the Wally Tidwell Pro-Am at the Adams Tennis Complex on Sept. 11-12. The Pro-Am is an annual event that raises funds for the tennis program, boasting a schedule of doubles matches with MTSU players, coaches, local pros and alumni.
Following the Pro-Am, the Blue Raiders head east on I-40 to compete in the UT Fall Invite in Knoxville, Tenn., on Sept. 18-20. MTSU stays in-state for its next stop, traveling to Nashville for the Vanderbilt Invite on Oct. 2-4.
After the trip to Music City, Middle Tennessee returns to Murfreesboro to host the Middle Tennessee Invite on Oct. 16-18.
The Blue Raiders split up for a pair of tournaments the following weekend, Oct. 23-25, with action at the Rome Invitational in Rome, Ga., and the Louisville Invitational in Louisville, Ky. To close out October, MTSU returns to the Adams Tennis Complex on Oct. 30-31 to host its final fall tournament, the Coach Buck Bouldin Fall Classic.
Middle Tennessee will cover plenty of ground in early November, sending players to three tournaments across Florida, Alabama and Georgia over a span of four days.
The first stop on the Southeast tour is the ITA Sectional Championships in Gainesville, Fla., on Nov. 5-8. The sectional tournament features a 32-player singles draw and a 16-team doubles draw, with 24 singles players and 12 doubles teams earning berths to the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships.
Staying in the South, select Blue Raiders will compete in the Bama Invitational in Tuscaloosa, Ala., on Nov. 6-8.
At the same time, MTSU will be represented at the ITA Conference Masters Cup in Rome, Ga., from Nov. 5 to 8. Four singles players and three doubles teams will earn spots in the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships.
For players who qualify, the fall slate concludes in Athens, Ga., with the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships from Nov. 17 to 22. Last season, the doubles tandem of Karim Al-Amin and Ondrej Horak advanced to the 2025 NCAA Doubles Championship, knocking off No. 7 California before bowing out in the second round.
