MIDDLE TENNESSEE vs WKU
November 2, 2018 at 7:00pm Timeline of Events (Hours Before Kickoff)  12:00 PM: Volleyball vs North Texas (AMG) 3:30 PM: Veterans' Memorial Service (Tom Jackson Building) 4:30 PM: Pregame Picnic (Kennon Sports Hall of Fame Lawn) 5:30 PM: Dr. Joe Nunley Award 7:00 PM: MT vs WKU Kickoff Veterans Memorial Service MTSU Charlie and Hazel Daniels Veterans and Military Family Center will be honoring fallen WW1 Veterans that were students at MTSU. This event will take place at the Tom Jackson Building and Veterans Memorial Area. Pregame Picnic Following the memorial service, a picnic will be held for ALL veterans and active service members on the lawn of the Kennon Sports Hall of Fame Building. During the picnic, the Army Tennessee National Guard band will perform. Also, all veterans, service members and their families will be able to pick up their complimentary tickets to the football game courtesy of State Farm and Pepsi. Mission BBQ and Steel Barrel Brewery will be providing a free meal and beverages to all Veterans, Active Service Members, and their families. Presentation of the Dr. Joe Nunley Award The Dr. Joe Nunley Award will be presented in a ceremony at the Kennon Sports Hall of Fame. Joe Nunley Sr. was a U.S. Army World War II veteran who was an MTSU education professor starting in 1961 and retired as alumni director at the university in 1987. The senior Nunley died in 1993. Game Ball Delivery Presentation With the help of members from Fort Campbell in Kentucky, they will be providing a special game ball delivery including Blackhawk helicopters. Make sure to be in your seat for the National Anthem. Halftime Salute At halftime of the game, the Band of Blue conducts a special patriotic salute as veterans march across Horace Jones Field with other members of their service branches. Toys for Tots Middle Tennessee is excited to announce that it will once again team with Toys for Tots for the Middle Tennessee vs WKU game.
