Former Blue Raider all-conference defensive back Alex Suber is in his first season on the Middle Tennessee staff as the programs cornerbacks coach. After playing for the Blue Raiders from 2005-09, he returned as a full-time member of Stockstill’s staff in January 2023.

At Ottawa Redblacks, wide receivers and returners (2020-22)
• In 2020, coached CFL All-Star Devonte Dedmon
• In 2022, mentored CFL East All-Star Jaelon Acklin
• During the 2022 season, Suber co-coordinated the offense at mid-season following a coaching change
At Murray State, wide receivers (2018-19)
• Coached under current MTSU offensive coordinator Mitch Stewart at Murray State
• In 2018 he coached All-OVC and First Team All-American Malik Honeycutt
• Receiver LaMartez Brooks was a preseason all-conference selection in 2019
• Signed four star receiver DaQuon Green
At Lyon College, defensive coordinator/secondary (2018)
• Named Lyon’s defensive coordinator in January 2018 before joining the Murray State staff in the spring
