Anthony Scelfo (SELL-fo), a former football and baseball player at Tulane, is in his first year as a member of Derek Mason’s staff. Scelfo serves as the programs offensive coordinator and quarterback’s coach.

At Southeastern Louisiana, offensive coordinator/quarterbacks, 2024-25
• 2025 team ranked 22nd nationally in red zone offense, 32nd in scoring and 38th in rushing in compiling 9-4 record
• The 2024 offense steadily improved, averaging 29.0 points per game in Southland Conference play. Three players were first team All-SLC performers – running back Antonio Martin (1,228 yards rushing, 11 TD), wide receiver Darius Lewis (82 catches, 806 yards, 5 TD) and offensive tackle Brockhim Wicks
At Southeastern Louisiana, wide receivers, 2022-23
• His wide receiver group helped the Lions to the 2022 Southland Conference championship and a 9-4 record. The 2022 SLU pass catchers were led by All-SLC selection Gage Larvadain, who finished the season with 59 catches for 731 yards
• Coached Darius Lewis in 2023 to All-SLC honors after recording 48 receptions for 568 yards and four touchdowns
At Southeastern Louisiana, tight ends, 2021
• In his lone season coaching the tight ends, Nolan Givan was named first team All-Southland and All-Louisiana, while also claiming Louisiana Newcomer of the Year honors after finishing the season with 56 catches for 572 yards and six touchdowns
At Northwestern State, quarterbacks/recruiting coordinator/passing game coordinator, 2018-20
• Under his tutelage, NSU quarterback Shelton Eppler set single-season school records for passing yards, completions, attempts and touchdowns, while also setting school career marks for passing yards and touchdowns, as well as completion percentage
• During the 2018 season – his first on the NSU staff – Scelfo helped guide Eppler to honorable mention All-Southland Conference honors while the Demons’ passers piloted an offense that established 20 school single-game or single-season records
