Former Blue Raider player Shane Tucker is in his second season on the Middle Tennessee staff and handles the outside receivers while also serving as the recruiting coordinator. Tucker played for Rick Stockstill from 2013-17 and was part of four bowl teams.

At Middle Tennessee, outside receivers (2023-Present)

• Recruiting Area: Southwest Tennessee, South Alabama, West Mississippi, Southeast Florida, West Georgia, Mississippi Juco
• Promoted to Recruiting Coordinator in February 2023
At Middle Tennessee, wide receivers (2022)
• In 2022, he guided Jaylin Lane, Izaiah Gathings, Yusuf Ali and Elijah Metcalf to their most productive seasons in a Blue Raider uniform. Lane and Gathings were named Honorable Mention All-CUSA after leading MTSU in receptions and yards
At FAMU, running backs (2021)
• Tucker coached Boxtorow All-American Bishop Bonnett who ranked 17th nationally in rushing with 993 yards and five touchdowns. He was also 13th nationally in yards per carry at 6.37
At Austin Peay, tight ends (2021 spring)
• Was on the staff at APSU during the spring season only
At Middle Tennessee, offensive graduate assistant (2020)
• Helped coach the offense during a shortened COVID season
At Dodge City Community College (2018-19)
• Began his coaching career at Dodge City Community College as an assistant strength and conditioning coach specializing in speed development for the running backs, wide receivers, linebackers, and defensive backs
• Was promoted to the wide receivers coach in 2019

• A four-year letterman who started 17 games and was a team captain his senior year
• Was a part of four bowl teams during his career
• Over four years, he racked up 1,162 yards rushing and 21 touchdowns while averaging 4.3 yards per carry. He also had 67 catches for 869 yards and seven touchdowns through the air
• In 2014, Tucker received honorable mention All-Conference USA honors at running back. In 2015 he was named to the Doak Walker Award watch list for the best running back in the country.
