DeShun Coleman first joined the Blue Raiders as a student manager during the 2015-16 season in which Middle Tennessee pulled off a historic run to a Conference USA Tournament title and upset of No. 2 seed Michigan State in the NCAA Tournament.
After completing his undergraduate degree in leisure, sport and tourism studies in December 2017, Coleman was elevated by new Head Coach Nick McDevitt to the role of graduate assistant prior to the 2018-19 season.
Coleman is now working on his graduate degree while expanding his role with the men’s basketball team and plans to complete his master’s in leisure and sport management in May 2019.
Born in Maryland, Coleman moved to Murfreesboro at age 10 after spending several years in Memphis and graduated from Oakland High School in 2014.
He resides in Murfreesboro with his son, Dallas.
