Notched a spot in Blue Raider program history by finishing with 26 singles wins (fourth-best among freshmen all-time) and 25 doubles wins (tied for the most among freshmen all-time) … Was second on the team in dual match singles wins with a record of 18-7, mostly at No. 3 and 4 … The biggest dual match singles wins in his first spring came against No. 21 Vanderbilt, No. 56 Wisconsin, No. 61 Florida Atlantic, No. 59 South Alabama, No. 69 VCU, No. 73 William & Mary, and No. 63 Georgia State, to go with his three-set win on Feb. 28 at Rice to clinch a 4-3 victory for the Blue Raiders … In doubles, Edge and Tom Moonen finished the season nationally ranked at No. 76 by the ITA … Edge and Moonen's marquee wins in spring 2018 were against opponents from No. 21 Vanderbilt, No. 71 Wichita State, No. 28 Tulane (the No. 20-ranked doubles team in the country), No. 61 Florida Atlantic, No. 73 William & Mary, and No. 70 ETSU … Ended the season with a spot on the All-C-USA First Team Doubles and Second Team Singles lists.

Began attending Merchiston Castle School at the age of 13 to be part of a tennis academy in Scotland … Was ranked No. 20 in the U18 national rankings and was No. 65 in the men's rankings … In his home county of Cumbria County, Edge claimed the singles and doubles county title every year since he was 10 years old, including claiming the men's county championship in 2016 … Was the U16 indoor champion in Scotland in 2014 before winning the Scottish Open singles and doubles title in the U18 division a couple years later … Was a semifinalist at ITF Bournemouth G4 in the singles and doubles tournaments … Also played golf for his county in his spare time.
