Notched a spot in Blue Raider program history by finishing with 23 singles wins (tied seventh-best among freshmen all-time) and 26 doubles wins (the most among freshmen all-time) … Was first on the team in both dual match singles (16-8) and doubles (19-7) wins … Biggest dual match singles wins in his first spring came in a three-set clinching win on Feb. 15 against Rice to claim a 4-3 victory for the Blue Raiders, as well as a C-USA title clincher against FAU … In doubles, Motl and Gonzalo Morell finished the season with a record of 18-6 mostly at No. 3 and were named the Outstanding Doubles Team of the C-USA Championship… Ended the season with a spot on the All-C-USA Second Team Doubles and Second Team Singles lists.
