2018 (Freshman): Named to the Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll...Played in 83 sets for the Blue Raiders during her freshman campaign...led the team in total blocks, inking 42 on the season...opened her collegiate career at the Catamount Volleyball classic, inking six kills against Charleston Southern (8/24)...posted a season-high nine kills, hitting on a .471 clip in four frames versus Western Carolina (8/25)...recorded her first service ace of the season against Austin Peay at the Blue Raider Bash (8/31)...added nine kills (.368) and two assisted blocks in the five-set victory versus Quinnipiac (9/8)...contributed eight blocks and five kills in the Blue Raider ‘s four-set win over Chattanooga (9/12)...contributed three kills and five digs in the five-set victory over Tennessee State (10/2)...contributed five kills while hitting on a .250 clip against WKU (10/7).
High School: Valdez was a part of the Midlothian Heritage High School 2016 and 2017 Bi-District teams that advanced to the Regional Semifinals each season...Valdez has earned many accolades during her career including the 2018 TGCA All-State, UIL First-Team All-District (2016, 2017) and UIL All-District Hitter (2017)...tallied 950 kills throughout her high school career, hitting on a .419 clip...Valdez earned the All-Tournament team accolades during the regional championships.
