Middle Tennessee alum Richard Lowe begins his fifth season as Director of Operations with the Lady Raiders. Lowe was named Director of Operations in July 2013.
Lowe, a 2011 graduate, completed his degree in Electronic Media Journalism at Middle Tennessee. As Director of Operations, Lowe coordinates all student-athlete's academic schedules, team travel and assists with promotional efforts for Middle Tennessee women’s basketball.
Lowe is also instrumental in Middle Tennessee's extensive community service program, as well as the various tasks regarding the day-to-day operation of the Middle Tennessee women's basketball program.
Prior to Middle Tennessee, Lowe served as head football coach of the Riverwood Junior Raiders in Sandy Springs, Ga. He also spent time as substitute teacher at Douglas County Schools (GA) and served as a youth basketball coach. Additionally, Lowe served as PA announcer for Spelman College.
During his time as a student at Middle Tennessee, the Atlanta native worked in a variety of capacities. Lowe spent time as the sports editor of the student newspaper, "Sidelines," and served as sports director and producer for WMTS 88.3. In addition to his radio and journalism experience, Lowe was general manager and sports director for Middle Tennessee Television. During his tenure, he created and produced the Rick Insell Coaches’ Show.
While earning a degree in Electronic Media Journalism, Lowe earned minors in speech & theater and athletic coaching.
Lowe is married to the former Ashlee Woods. The couple resides in Murfreesboro.
