Zak Davis enters his third season as assistant coach in 2024.

The native of Baltimore, Md. oversees all aspects of the program, with an emphasis on goalkeeping and recruiting. Davis guided goalkeeper Hannah Suder in 2023 as she led Conference USA in saves with 72.

In 2022-23, his first full offseason with the program, Davis helped bring in a class of 12 newcomers, including 10 freshmen and two players from the transfer portal.

Davis joined the Blue Raiders after serving as the assistant women's soccer coach at George Washington University for the past four seasons.

During his time at George Washington and serving under head coach Michelle Demko, Davis' primary duties were to train goalkeepers and work with the Colonials' backline, as well as serving as the program's recruiting coordinator and video analyst.

Over his four seasons with the Colonials, Davis helped lead GW to a 33-27-9 overall record and a 20-14-4 mark in A10 play.

During the 2021 season, Davis recruited Alicia Window, from Manchester City Youth, who earned 2021 All-Rookie Team honors, as well as helping coach Kelly Amador, one of the Colonials' senior captains, who garnered A-10 Second Team All-Conference accolades.

Davis also helped coach A10 standout Natalie Silberman, who earned her first career Atlantic 10 Second Team All-Conference selection during his third season with the Colonials in the spring of 2021.

During his second season with GW in 2019, Davis helped lead a Colonial team that after being selected to finish ninth in the A-10 preseason poll, the team finished second and earned a berth in the A-10 Championship final for the first time since 1997 and marking the program's seventh-straight A-10 Championship appearance, helping lead Meg McCormick, Madi Coyne, and Hannah Zaluski to postseason A-10 All-Conference Team nods, as well as Zaluski being selected to the USWNT U20 camp, as well as helping coach goalkeeper Tamaki Machi to a A-10 All-Rookie Team selection.

In his first season with GW, Davis worked with a Colonial program that earned its sixth consecutive A-10 Championship berth, which tied GW's longest streak in the A-10 tournament since the 1993-98 seasons, the program's first years as an A-10 competitor.

Prior to joining GW's staff, Davis spent two seasons as a graduate assistant and assistant coach under coach Demko at UNC Asheville. With the Bulldogs, Davis helped work with goalkeepers on both the men's and women's soccer teams. During his time in Asheville, Davis coached his keepers to over 100 saves during the 2016 season and helped lead one of his men's goalkeepers to a top-four national ranking in total saves.

Davis graduated with his Bachelor of Science in health wellness promotion from UNC Asheville in 2016, before earning his master's degree in liberal arts in 2018. He served as goalkeeper for the Bulldogs from 2012-16, serving as a two-year captain and recording 120 career saves over his four-year career. Davis finished in the top four in the country in saves per game and total saves during his senior season. In addition to his collegiate career, Davis has experience coaching with the Alexandria Soccer Association youth club in Virginia.
