The Middle Tennessee women's tennis program has added Scott Kathary as an volunteer assistant coach announced by head coach Tayo Bailey-Duvall in August 2019.
An Columbus, Ohio, native, Kathary recently was a Volunteer Assistant Coach for the women's team at Virginia Tech in 2018 before moving to Murfreesboro about a year ago. He also coached professional players for the past eight years and coached at South Florida with talented world ranked juniors after graduating from Youngstown State in 2009.
At Youngstown State, Scott Kathary finished his college career playing at the No. 1 singles with 4-9 record and had his best season at doubles his junior year with a 10-5 record at the No. 1 spot. Kathary was a three-time Second Team All-Conference in the Horizon League.
Kathary graduated from YSU with a degree in Mathematics in 2009.
