Education: Smithwick received Bachelor of Science in business management from Auburn University in May of 2016.
Job Responsibilities: Manages apparel and equipment inventory, while overseeing the ordering process and maintaining optimal stock levels across all athletic equipment rooms. Also oversees the coach's communication system as well as other aspects of the Equipment Room, including students, helmets, fitting equipment and laundry services.
Past Experience: Smithwick was a student equipment manager at Auburn University from 2012 to 2016 before being hired full-time in October 2016. He was full-time at Auburn until 2025 when he came to MTSU as the Director of Equipment Sports Performance.
Personal: Smithwick is a native of Childersburg, Ala.
