Jake Golob joined the Middle Tennessee athletic department in June 2023 and serves as the primary media contact for the Blue Raider women’s basketball program.
Golob arrived in Murfreesboro after two years at the University of Georgia, where he worked as a graduate assistant in the athletic communications office. While in Athens, he contributed to the coverage of Georgia’s back-to-back College Football Playoff national championships and assisted with communications efforts for men’s and women’s basketball and baseball. He also served as the primary contact for two of the nation’s top programs—women’s tennis and men’s golf. He earned a master’s degree in sport management from Georgia in 2023.
Prior to UGA, Golob completed a one-year internship at Francis Marion University, a Division II institution in South Carolina. There, he served as the primary contact for Patriot baseball, men’s basketball, golf, and women’s soccer.
A native of Athens, Georgia, Golob earned his bachelor’s degree in integrated marketing communications from the University of Mississippi in 2020. While at Ole Miss, he gained valuable experience working in the athletic communications office, assisting with football, basketball, baseball, soccer, tennis, and volleyball.
He is married to the former Marion Mealor of Athens, Georgia. They are proud dog parents to Goose and Bear.
