MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Former Middle Tennessee defensive lineman Demetrios Walker has signed a free agent deal with the Kansas City Chiefs and will report for mini-camp Friday.
A native of Kansas City, Walker will be trying to earn a spot on the roster of his favorite childhood team when he reports to the Chiefs. Walker played in all 35 games as a member of the Middle Tennessee football team after playing one season at Fort Scott Community College.
The 6-foot-3, 254-pound Walker, who started 17 career games as a Blue Raider, including all 12 as a senior, totaled a career-best 50 tackles to go along with 7.5 tackles for loss, a team-high five sacks, two pass breakups and a fumble recovery to earn second-team All-Sun Belt Conference honors for Middle Tennessee in 2003. He ranked second among SBC defensive linemen in tackles in 2003.
