MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee Head Men's Golf Coach Johnny Moore announced today the signing of Kent Bulle to a scholarship agreement. Bulle will join the Blue Raiders in 2006 from Glasgow High School in Glasgow, Ky.
"We are very excited to sign a player of Kent's caliber," said Moore. "Along with being an outstanding golfer he also excels in the classroom where he is ranked 11th in his class. Kent is a grinder on the golf course who reminds me of Tom Lehman. He is not flashy, but just knows how to score on the golf course. We expect him to step right in and make an immediate impact on our program."
Bulle, who was named Mr. Golf in the state of Kentucky in October, is ranked the No. 2 player in the state by the Junior Golf Scoreboard and the 93rd best prospect in the nation. A top-notch student, Bulle broke the Bowling Green Country Club record when he shot an 8-under par 64 to win the Bowling Green Invitational.
Bulle, who joins Lady Raider golf standout Taryn Durham as Glasgow High School standouts, finished fourth at the AJGA Ringgold Junior Classic (75-68-70) and also came in fourth at the AJGA Subaru Open (69-74-72)
The all-state player picked the Blue Raiders over Louisville, Bowling Green, and Western Kentucky.
