Lady Raiders Defeat North Texas 5-2

DENTON, Texas - Middle Tennessee women's tennis (6-10) notched its first win over a Sun Belt opponent this season with a 5-2 victory over North Texas (10-7) Sunday at Goldfield Tennis Center.
The Lady Raiders overcame losing the doubles point to come back and take the match. Middle Tennessee avoided the sweep in doubles as Jacqui Williams and Claudia Szabo won at No. 3 doubles, defeating the Mean Green's Aziza Aba Butain and Megan Schmulbach 8-4.
Middle Tennessee fought through a tough match and won two three set matches to secure the win. Jacqui Williams and Ana Maria Cibils both came back in their matches after winning the first set, and then dropping the second set, to win their matches and aid the Lady Raiders in their win.
The Lady Raiders return to action on April 3 when Middle Tennessee travels to UAB.
