MT Men's Tennis downed by No. 20 Columbia

NEW YORK, N.Y. - The Middle Tennessee men's tennis team fell to No.20 Columbia, 5-2, in Manhattan on Sunday afternoon. In the defeat, the Blue Raiders fall to 2-9 in dual matches this spring.
Junior Victor Hoang picked up the lone singles win for the Blue Raiders, a victory at No. 4 over the Lions' Max Schnur (7-6[7], 6-7[6], 1-0 [8]).
Hoang was also a part of one of two doubles pairs that won for MT on its way to the doubles point. Hoang and junior Ettore Zito won at No. 3 doubles, 8-2, while sophomore Yannick Born and freshman Aaron Jumonville won at No. 2 doubles, 8-3.
The Blue Raiders return to action on Friday when they host Jackson State at the Buck Bouldin Tennis Center at 1 p.m.
