Blue Raiders Have Won Eight of Nine
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee will look to keep its momentum going when it faces UTSA in a crucial C-USA game at Murphy Center Thursday at 7 p.m.
The Blue Raiders (12-5, 6-1) have won three straight and eight of nine and moved into a tie for first in the league standings. They face a UTSA team that is also playing well and brings a three-game winning streak into the game. Middle Tennessee and UTSA have the league's longest win streaks at three games each.
UTSA (9-10, 4-3) is coming off an upset win of WKU and is one game out of first in the C-USA standings.
"It is another big homestand and it starts with a very good team in UTSA," Middle Tennessee Head Coach Rick Insell said. "They are playing well, they are well-coached and they have a good basketball team. We have to keep building upon the good things we have been doing and continue to improve in other areas."
Middle Tennessee is among teams receiving votes in this week's Associated Press Top 25 poll. The Blue Raiders are 35th overall amongst the nation's top teams and also have a Top 50 RPI.
