Blue Raiders face another ranked opponent

MT hosts No. 23 South Carolina
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Strength of schedule is certainly not a problem for Middle Tennessee's men's tennis program as they face their third ITA ranked team so far in the young season with a match vs. South Carolina on Friday, Feb. 13.
After battling hard and coming up short in a 1-6 loss to Vanderbilt, the Blue Raiders will welcome another SEC foe in South Carolina, who is tied with the Commodores in the latest national rankings at No. 23.
Two Gamecock players are ranked in singles action with Kyle Koch at No. 103 and Andrew Schafer coming in at No. 120. Headlining the doubles action for South Carolina is the pair of Thomas Mayronne and Harrison O'Keefe, who are ranked No. 46.
The only two losses on MT's schedule have come against ranked opponents with then ranked No. 31 NC State and No. 23 Vanderbilt. The Gamecocks will enter play on Friday with a record of 5-3, the three losses coming courtesy of Ole Miss, Wake Forest, and NC State.
