Blue Raiders tip-off C-USA Championship vs 49ers

No. 6 MT faces No. 11 Charlotte in first round
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The road to march madness continues with all signs pointed to Birmingham as Middle Tennessee earned a No. 6 seed and will tip-off the Conference USA Championship against No. 11 Charlotte on Wednesday, March 11 at 2:30 p.m. CT.
The first round match-up will be broadcast on American Sports Network from Legacy Arena at the BJCC.
Middle Tennessee defeated Charlotte at home earlier this year, 72-69. The Blue Raiders are 4-0 when playing in the first round of a conference tournament with Coach Kermit Davis at the helm.
MT is 16-15, 9-9 entering the tournament, while Charlotte is 14-17, 7-11 with only 18 spots separating the two teams in RPI.
This is the Blue Raiders 22nd-straight postseason conference tournament appearance but only its second time playing in the C-USA Championship.
