Blue Raiders set for Quarterfinal Rematch vs ODU

MT faces Monarchs on Thursday
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - After a thrilling first round win against (11) Charlotte, (6) Middle Tennessee sets its sights to the Conference USA Quarterfinal match-up against third-seeded Old Dominion that is all too familiar.
The Blue Raiders and the Monarchs met in the quarterfinal of last year's C-USA Championship with the Blue Raiders snagging a 62-48 win. Last year the roles were reversed with MT bearing the higher seed but this year it is ODU that received the first round bye as the higher seed.
The quarterfinal will be broadcast on American Sports Network from Legacy Arena at the BJCC with tip-off slated for 2:30 p.m. CT.
Middle Tennessee defeated Old Dominion at home earlier this year, 68-58 in overtime when the Monarchs were receiving votes in the national polls.
The two squads have been the best two defensive teams in Conference USA all season with ODU ranking top-10 in the country.
This is the Blue Raiders 22nd-straight postseason conference tournament appearance but only its second time playing in the C-USA Championship.
