MT meets UAB in C-USA Championship Final
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Middle Tennessee men's basketball will makes its tenth-ever conference championship final appearance on Saturday afternoon as the Blue Raiders are set to square off against fourth-seeded UAB in the Conference USA Championship Finale at 2:30 p.m. at Legacy Arena. The game will be be nationally televised on Fox Sports 1.
The Blue Raiders have thrived in the underdog role in the tournament after upsetting No. 3 Old Dominion and No. 2 UTEP.
MT has not won a conference title since 1989, with Head Coach Kermit Davis looking for his first championship title with the Blue Raiders. Neither Middle Tennessee or UAB have ever won a C-USA Championship crown, with this game guaranteeing a first-time champion. The Blue Raiders are only in their second year in the conference.
Tickets to the final are $35 dollars and free for students. Middle Tennessee will hold a pep rally at the arena at 1 p.m.
