MT heads to WKU for Sunday showdown

Lady Raiders seeking sixth straight win
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – For the 59th time in program history, Middle Tennessee will meet the WKU Hilltoppers on the hardwood for a Sunday afternoon showdown of Conference USA rivals at E.A. Diddle Arena.
Action from Bowling Green is set for a 2 p.m. tip and can be heard on 89.5 WMOT with Dick Palmer calling the action. The game will also be broadcast on Fox College Sports.
Middle Tennessee (9-6, 4-0) holds a 33-25 advantage in the all-time series against WKU (12-5, 4-1), including victories in 13 of the last 15 matchups.
MT moved into sole possession of first place in the league standings with a 72-63 win at Marshall Thursday night. Ty Petty (26) and Alex Johnson (23) combined for 49 points in the effort, with Petty sinking a career-high seven three-pointers. Winners of five-straight, the Lady Raiders also finished the game with a season-low seven turnovers.
The Hilltoppers posted a second-half comeback effort to knock off UAB 60-48 in their last outing. Kendall Noble, who leads the team with 14.6 points per game, tallied a game-high 24 points against the Blazers. Overall, WKU leads the league in scoring offense with 76.7 points per game.
Following the weekend finale, the Lady Raiders return to Murphy Center to host FIU Thursday and Florida Atlantic Saturday.
