ATC home to Ohio Valley Regional again
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – For the second consecutive season, the Adams Tennis Complex and Middle Tennessee hosts the ITA Ohio Valley Regional, which is slated for Oct. 12-16, and there is no cost for admission.
Some of the top programs in the country will compete at the ATC in this weekend's event, including Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana, Cincinnati, and Louisville will compete with the Blue Raiders, among others. Three teams in the Ohio Valley Region ended last season ranked in the top-50 by the ITA.
For the third time this fall, all six of Middle Tennessee's netters will compete, and this will be the first time MT newcomer Kim Kermet plays at the ATC. Lidia Burrows and Costanza Magazzini will look to continue the momentum they gained by winning their singles brackets at last weekend's Samford Fall Invitational, and Maria Josefina Zehnder is aiming for another perfect weekend at the ITA Regional after going 5-0 in this event last fall.
In doubles action, Luisa Zirilli and Marta Peris Herrero swept through their competition at Samford last weekend and hope to continue their winning ways this weekend.
Updates and information throughout the weekend will be posted on the official tournament website, and fans of the Blue Raiders can keep up with their team on social media, @MT_WomensTennis on Twitter and MTSU Women's Tennis on Facebook.
