The Blue Raiders split their two Conference USA matches over the weekend, winning 2-1 over Charlotte after falling to Old Dominion in overtime. This week, Middle Tennessee will travel to the Sunshine State for two more Conference USA matches with FIU on Thursday, October 11^th at 6 p.m. and Florida Atlantic on Sunday, October 14^th at 12:00pm. Scouting the Panthers
FIU has had a difficult season as they have yet to win a game and have been shut out eight times. Their goals have been concentrated between three players: Ashley Adams, Kaydeen Jack, and Rayquel Berry. Adams and Jack provided most of the early goals, but Berry scored twice in the draw with LA Tech.

Series history
The Blue Raiders lead this series 12-7-1 and have won three of the last four. In last season's match in Miami, Peyton DePriest scored two goals including the game winner in overtime.

Scouting the Owls
The Owls are undefeated in conference play and are one of the deepest teams in the conference. They lack any statistical outliers with their balanced attack. Seven different players have scored a goal, but no one has scored more than four. They've looked strong in their 5 wins in Conference USA with three shutouts. However, in their most recent C-USA contest, they went to overtime with UTSA before prevailing, 2-1. Jennifer Ocampo is the goalie responsible for those three shutouts and took home another clean sheet in non-conference play.

Series history
MT leads the series with 9-5-1 and have won six of the last seven meetings including last year's 1-0 win that was secured by a 14^th minute goal from DePriest.

Players to watch

Peyton DePriest – Leading the conference in shots per game, points per game, and goals per game, DePriest making a strong case live up to her preseason offensive player of the year honors. DePriest scored her eighth goal in her sixth game of the season on Sunday in the win over Charlotte. The Blue Raiders are undefeated in games when DePriest scores at least one goal.

Hannah Tillett – The fabulous freshman continued to impress with another solid weekend. Tillett leads the country in points per game and goals per game by a freshman while also leading the conference in points, goals, and assists.

Amber Hoot – Hoot picked up her second assist of the season on a near perfect free kick that Sydney Navarro finished within inches of the goal. As the primary corner and free kick taker for the Blue Raiders, Hoot has been integral in setting up goals this season, even if the stats don't show it.

By the Numbers

85 – Middle Tennessee is #1 in Conference USA with 85 points this season. The Blue Raiders own one of the most potent offenses in the conference ranked second in both
goals and assists.

5 – The Blue Raiders can play defense too. They're tied for third in the conference in shutouts with five.

10 – MT currently sits at fourth place in the conference standings with 10 points. They trail Charlotte and North Texas by two points and conference leading FAU by five. They have yet to face FAU and North Texas, but defeated Charlotte on Sunday.
