MURFREESBORO – University of Miami Athletics announced recently that Kortne Gosha has been hired as its new Associate Athletic Director, Athletic Facilities. Gosha will begin his new job on October 21.
Gosha will oversee facilities and information technology for UM's athletic department in addition to assisting with project management.
"It has been one of the greatest honors of my life to serve the Blue Raider community, university, and our student-athletes," said Gosha. "I would like to thank Chris Massaro and President (Sidney) McPhee for entrusting me with this opportunity the past five years."
Gosha heads to Coral Gables after spending seven years at Middle Tennessee, the last five as the Blue Raiders' Associate AD/Operations. In that role Gosha oversaw equipment operations, sports medicine, strength and conditioning, contracts, facilities and all athletic events including postseason competition. He also served as the primary sport administrator for men's and women's track.
"We wish Kortne well in his new challenges at Miami," added Director of Athletics Chris Massaro. "He is a top flight administrator who had his hand in a lot of the success we have enjoyed over the past few years. Because of his efforts and those that came before him in that role, we are well positioned to hire an outstanding individual to help us continue to succeed on the courts, fields and classrooms."
A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Gosha earned his bachelor's degree from Jacksonville State and his master's in sports management from Southern New Hampshire. He was also accepted into the 2015 class of Collegiate Athletic Leadership Symposium and is a graduate of the 2016 Sports Management Institute at The University of Michigan Ross School of Business Executive Education and the University of Texas McComb Business School.
